Overview
Children's classes are small, taught by trained teachers in purpose-built classrooms, with a curriculum that continues beyond the school years.
Adult learning is given the same rooms, the same standard and the same place in the timetable, from foundational courses through to advanced study.
Alongside this sits secular provision — ESOL, digital skills, employability and parenting courses — open to everyone in the area, with fee support available where required.
Fee support
A proportion of places on every paid course is funded by sadaqah. Enquiries are handled privately and in confidence.
Strands
Each has a beginner entry point and a clear route onwards.
Reading from the alphabet up, tajweed applied to your own recitation, and structured hifz support for students already on that path.
Modern standard and classical Arabic taught as a language rather than as decoding — through to reading unvowelled text and tafsir in the original.
Seerah, fiqh and aqeedah taught with the arguments attached, including the episodes and objections that usually get skipped.
Ages five to sixteen across Saturday and Sunday, in small classes with trained teachers, pastoral time and sport built into the morning.
New Muslim foundations, ESOL, digital skills and parenting — free where the barrier is money, and never pitched down.
Islamic finance, safeguarding for community organisations, and media training, delivered to a standard that would stand up in any boardroom.
Open, free, ongoing. A Thursday circle after Isha and a daytime sisters' circle with a crèche next door. Drop in, no registration.
A young leaders programme for fourteen to eighteens, and trustee development for adults joining charity and mosque boards.

Arabic letters through to reading a page unaided, for adults who were never taught or have forgotten. No prior knowledge is assumed, and reading aloud is entirely optional.
The rules of recitation applied to your own reading, with individual correction each session. You should already read Arabic script comfortably.
Structured revision and new memorisation for students already on a hifz path, with a teacher tracking each student's schedule.
Modern standard Arabic taught as a language, not as decoding. By the end you can read, write and hold a short conversation.
Grammar, verb forms and the jump from vowelled to unvowelled text, which is where most learners stall.
Syntax and morphology applied directly to Qur'anic passages, for students who want to read tafsir in the original.
Ages 6 to 11, taught through song, story and play rather than worksheets.
The narrative in full, with the historical context and the difficult episodes included rather than skipped.
Purification, prayer, fasting, zakat and the questions people are too embarrassed to ask a scholar in person.
Core belief taught with the arguments attached, including how classical scholars handled the objections.
Ages 5 to 7. Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic studies, with sport and pastoral time built into the morning.
Ages 8 to 11. Small classes, trained teachers, and a curriculum that connects rather than a rota of memorisation.
Ages 12 to 16. Islamic studies alongside identity, ethics and the questions that arise at school.
For people who have recently accepted Islam, or are close to it. Practical, unhurried, and free of assumed knowledge.
Entry level to Level 1 ESOL, delivered with a further education partner. Crèche cover available.
Email, spreadsheets, online forms and job applications, for adults being locked out of work by the software rather than the job.
For parents raising children between a home culture and a Welsh one, run with a family therapist.
Mortgages, pensions, savings and debt, including where scholarly opinion differs.

Guest speakers
Free to attend, and streamed for those unable to travel.
Four visiting scholars over four weeks, on scripture, history, ethics and contemporary questions. Free, open to all, streamed for those who cannot travel.
An interview format with Welsh Muslims doing notable work — in medicine, sport, politics and the arts — with audience questions taking the second half.
Held with churches, synagogues and humanist groups across Cardiff. Genuine disagreement is welcome; the format is designed to make it civil.

For the beginner courses, none at all. Several are written specifically for adults who were never taught, or who were taught badly and have quietly avoided the subject since.
Yes, on any course over £75, split across the term at no extra cost. Just say so when you register.

Yes, throughout. Arabic is the subject in the language courses rather than the medium of instruction, and the same goes for Qur'an and Islamic studies.
Crèche cover runs alongside the daytime adult courses and the sisters' circle. Evening classes do not have cover.
Everyone teaching children or young people is DBS-checked and safeguarding trained, and the policy is reviewed annually by a named trustee.
